    Our History 

    In Parkland, Fl

    In 2013, we opened our first location in Parkland, Fl. We are currently employing 35 individuals with autism at that location. Based on our initial success, we are in the process of building a second location in Margate, Florida with the same goal. This location will be bigger than our first location and we'll need your help to achieve our goal.

    We work very closely with the Broward County School District, UM-NSU CARD, FAU CARD, Dan Marino Foundation, ARC Broward, New Directions for Young Adults and several other organizations.
     

    To pull off a successful launch of this new location, we will need the help of a few passionate and talented Autism Employment Interns to help us prepare our new recruits for their positions.

    Objective

    Certify new recruits in our passenger side full service process

    All of our new recruits must be able to complete our passenger side full service process in under 6 minutes, 3 times in a row in order to get an employment offer. Your objective is to teach them this process so that they can earn an employment opportunity.

    Commitment

    8 - 20 hours per week for 2 - 3 weeks

    To be an Autism Employment Intern for us, we'd ask that you can commit to between 2 to 5, 4-hour training sessions for 2 of the 3 following weeks:

    -7/31 to 8/4

    - 8/7 to 8/11

    - 8/14 to 8/18

    What you'll Learn

    We'll teach you how we've become one of the national leaders in autism employment

    You will learn the following skills:

    • How to effectively train an individual with autism to learn new skills 
    • How to coach in a clear and concrete manor
    • How to be patient and compassionate but still clear and direct 
    • How we've designed a system that successfully empowers individuals with autism to be 80% of our staff
